National Treasures of
Abe-Monjuin Temple
The statue was crafted by the renowned Buddhist sculptor Kaikei during the Kamakura period (1203). At the center is Monju Bosatsu, depicted riding a lion, surrounded by four attendants: Yuimakoji and Shubodai are positioned on the left, while Uten-o, holding the lion’s reins, and Zenzai Doji, leading the group, are on the right.
